Targeted Evaluation, Action, and Monitoring of Traumatic Brain Injury

Traumatic Brain Injuries are complex and varied, with many people suffering diverse and lasting consequences and in need of treatment that targets their specific needs.

Comprehensive Intake Assessment

TEAM TBI brings together leading world experts in the Pittsburgh area to evaluate the extent of each individual's injury with comprehensive assessments including:

  • Sleep
  • Balance
  • Vision
  • Memory
  • Mood
  • Concussion testing

Brain Imaging

We use a number of cutting-edge brain imaging techniques including High Definition Fiber Tracking (HDFT).

HDFT focuses on mapping the functional and anatomical network structure of the brain to characterize the "information superhighways" of the brain and how they change with experience.

Follow-up Period

After the comprehensive intake participants receive individualized intervention recommendations which may include:

Targeted intervention plan

Specialized iPad Toolkit

Activity and Sleep Monitoring

Personal coaching

Goal Setting

Sports-Medicine

Appointment Scheduling

Mindfulness training

Cognitive training

Repeat Assessment

After the 6 month follow-up period, participants return for a repeat assessment to evaluate their progress and the impact of the recommended interventions
